BOSS junior Marcus Purvis received an internship with the Guardian Life Insurance Company. Purvis can work up to 20 hours per week and earns $8.00 per hour. He works in the Human Resources Department. In order to get the internship, Purvis went through a grueling interview process Guardian’s HR manager pre-screened people in groups of five to determine who was invited to attend their Job Fair.They then held a Job Fair, which they invited about 35 people to interview directly with department managers. The managers then selected the people that they are interested in taking on as interns. They selected about 25 people to hire as interns, including Purvis.
